Agreement to Terms

By accessing or using the Pottery Post website (the “Site”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use this Site.

Use of the Site

You may use this Site for lawful purposes only. You agree not to:

  • Use the Site in any way that violates applicable Canadian federal or provincial law
  • Submit false, misleading, or fraudulent information in directory listings or gallery submissions
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Site
  • Use automated tools to scrape, copy, or extract content from the Site without our written permission

Pottery Directory

Directory listings are submitted by potters, guilds, those offering pottery classes, and pottery supply shops and are reviewed before publication. We reserve the right to decline, edit, or remove any listing at our discretion. By submitting a listing, you represent that the information provided is accurate and that you have the right to share it. You grant Pottery Post a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to display your submitted information and images on the Site.

Pottery Gallery

The Pottery Gallery is a curated collection of handmade pottery presented for appreciation only. Pieces are not for sale by Pottery Post. Potters who submit work to the Gallery are responsible for all shipping costs to deliver their piece to Pottery Post. Pottery Post is not responsible for any loss or damage that occurs during shipping to us. We recommend using a tracked, insured courier service. Please retain your shipping documentation.

Gallery Pieces: Return, Damage & Liability

When a gallery collection closes, potters who have selected the “Arrange your own return” option are solely responsible for coordinating and covering all costs associated with return shipping or pickup. Pottery Post does not arrange, coordinate, or pay for return shipping under any circumstances.

Pottery Post is not liable for any loss or damage that occurs during return shipping arranged by the potter. We strongly recommend that potters use a tracked, fully insured courier service for all return shipments and retain all shipping documentation.

While pieces are in the care of Pottery Post, we take reasonable precautions to protect submitted work. However, Pottery Post is not liable for accidental damage, loss, or deterioration that may occur while a piece is in our possession, including during display, handling, storage, or transit arranged by us. By submitting a piece to the Gallery, potters acknowledge and accept this risk.

Pieces submitted under the “Keep it with Pottery Post” or “Donate it” options become the property of Pottery Post or its designated recipient upon the close of the collection. These selections are final and no return or compensation is available once a collection has closed.
